Frequently Asked Questions
How many times can a glass milk bottle be recycled?
Anywhere between 28 to 50 times before it is deemed unusable for purpose and then sent for further recycling.
How many days do you deliver?
We deliver 6 days a week, Monday through to Saturday and we deliver double on Saturday to get you through to Monday.
Is the milk you supply from local dairy farms?
Sort of! Any dairy in the south that provides milk for bottling has to send their milk to a bottling plant, in our case Southampton, where the numerous deliveries are tested and then distributed throughout the plant. So your milk could come from a farm in Sussex as well as a farm in Somerset, for example.
Do you supply organic milk and milk alternatives?
Yes we do. Organic milk is from Organic Dairy Farms and comes in pint bottles, milk alternatives come in cartons; Almond, Lactose free, Soya, Coconut etc…
Are your milk floats emission free?
Yes completely battery operated so on the round there are zero emissions. Back at base when the float is on charge there is a small carbon footprint from the electricity used.
Would you provide milk in polycarbonate bottles if it enabled you to lower your prices?
Final answer. No! Single use plastics and thousands of other plastic products litter our entire world. We are not going to contribute to that.
But don’t you carry products that use plastic wrapping?
Yes we do, we can’t buy them any other way. However, we are constantly searching for new products grown, baked, laid or reared locally and that come in more environmentally friendly packaging and as they come online we will drop the single use plastic wrapped products.
How local are you?
There are three generations of my family involved in this business – we were all born, grew up, schooled, worked and lived right here in Bognor Regis. My parents and grandparents also came from the Arun and Chichester districts.
